Since 1954, the art in silvering glass

our history

The first small company was funded by Lido Puccioni in Castelfiorentino in 1954.

Run as a family business from the outset, it is now managed by Lido’s sons, Luigi and Carlo Puccioni. Their passion for their job, as well as the competencies needed to practice it, were passed on to them by their father, who began working as a glassmaker at the age of 11. The techniques and principles that the two brothers still apply today are in fact the same, albeit in a constant search for improvement and innovation.

Seval is a micro enterprise of artisans, part of the industrial fabric at the base of the Italian economy. Founded as a secondary flat glass processing company, it has increasingly specialized in glass silvering. Seval has always stood out for its constant commitment to adapting its processing to prevailing demands, for the quality of its products and services, and for its ability to satisfy customers’ specific needs.

our business

Our activities consist in silvering, sandblasting, and painting of flat, curved, hollow, cast glass and brick glass; in manually antiquing mirrors as if they had naturally aged; in decorating glass and mirrors.

Type of work: manual, our processing is entirely artisanal. We use the traditional techniques, which we have been learning, testing and fine-tuning for two generations, and continue to to this day.

Our products are very diverse, ranging from interior and exterior furnishings and ornamental items such as mirrors, glass panels, vases, lamps, to concentrated solar power parabolic dishes.

We work for other enterprises, designers, architects, private individuals, and more, carrying out work for homes, villas, luxury buildings, shops, hotels, restaurants, schools, and more.
